ISO 9001 certification is a worldwide recognition of Kingston's consistent and superior quality in customer service, as well as an assurance of high-quality products that include memory enhancements and data storage products. Kingston Technology International has been continuously ISO 9001 certified since its first assessment in 1998. Other ISO 9001 registered Kingston facilities include the US, United Kingdom, Taiwan and China.

Kingston undergoes regular audits by third party ISO assessors, customers, suppliers and its own employees. The results of these audits are used to improve and strengthen our quality management system. Our quality programme is evident from our growing, satisfied customer base.

Environmental Management System

In response to the growing need to identify and reduce the impact our products and services have on the environment, Kingston's management team has committed to the investment and implementation of Environmental Management Systems for each of our worldwide manufacturing sites. These systems are modelled to be in compliance with the ISO 14001 standard, which assists companies in the creation and maintenance of an Environmental Management System.

Certification to the ISO 14001 standard demonstrates Kingston's commitment to proactively addressing our impact on the global environment. Other ISO 14001 registered Kingston facilities are the US, Taiwan and China

ISO 14001 is the internationally recognised standard for Environmental Management Systems. The ISO 14001 standard seeks to synchronise valuable environmental principles and practices with the goal of helping companies determine the environmental issues associated with their activities and manage them successfully. While the standard does not contain specific performance requirements, it does include requirements for commitment to the prevention of pollution, as well as compliance with regulatory requirements. More importantly, it recognises a company’s positive impact on the environment, achieved through managed performance and continual improvement.

Kingston Technology International currently use 100% renewable energy in this facility. All manufacturing waste is 100% recycled.

OHSAS 18001 is the Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series for health and safety management systems. It is intended to help an organisation control occupational health and safety risks. It was developed through cooperation between leading international standards organisations in response to wide spread demand for a recognised standard against which to be certified and assessed. While the standard does not contain specific performance requirements, it does include requirements for commitment to the management of hazards and risks, as well as compliance with regulatory requirements.

Kingston implemented a variety of programmes and processes, including ergonomics, machine guarding, lockout/blockout and the use of personal protective equipment to achieve greater protection and to prevent the occupational injury and illness of its employees, contractors and visitors. All employees are committed to identifying and reporting safety concerns and are involved in implementing solutions for any potential hazard.

At Kingston Technology International, our management recognises the significance of being registered to an information security standard, such as ISO 27001. Maintaining this registration reflects that our information security practices and policies meet all of the elements required by the standard.

Kingston obtained ISO 27001 certification for information security management systems in March 2011. Our commitment to compliance with the ISO 27001 standard is evident from the numerous processes practised and enforced in our companies. This includes ISO/27001 orientation, training of employees, accurately documenting information security processes, ensuring that each employee has sufficient resources and support from the organisation to comply with the ISO/27001 standard.
